The potato doesn't need to be excluded from a diet It is considered to be that the potato thanks to high glycemic to an index doesn’t allow to get rid of superfluous kgs. However new German research has proved that glycemic the index doesn’t influence weight reduction. The potato can be used during a diet.

In Research took part 86 men and the women, wishing to grow thin. Participants have divided into 3 groups, 2 from which should use a potato no more than 5 times a week. And in the first group the potato was with low glycemic an index, and in the second, on the contrary, with very high. The third group was control and used a potato at will, irrespective of it glycemic an index. In 12 months it was not revealed any distinctions between participants in all 3 groups. It has allowed to scientists an occasion to conclude that glycemic the index doesn’t play any role in weight reduction.
