
The Indian dieticians, leaning against centuries-old experience, have made base recommendations about a healthy food for the modern European. According to them, to the person conducting inactive, a sedentary life, it is necessary to reduce quantity of carbohydrates (especially sugar), fibers and iron in a diet, but, strangely enough, to increase quantity of fats. Fats are meant as nonsaturated fats, that is, vegetable oils. According to the Indian scientists, the reason of excess weight and many illnesses of a modern civilization consists not in fats, and in surplus of calories – sugar and starchy food.
