Again learn to read

booksThe university college of London has started a site helping people, whose sight has suffered as a result of a stroke, again to learn to read. The new resource under name Read-Right is intended for patients with  a condition at which because of a stroke or a trauma of a brain at the person half of field of vision “drops out” that considerably complicates reading. Many of such patients absolutely stop to read, finding it is excessively tiresome. Read-Right offers for reading scrolled texts. Unlike static, it is easier to read such texts, as they force an eye to make the involuntary movements facilitating reading of the information. As have shown preliminary researches, all from 7 till 14 o’clock similar rehabilitation considerably improves reading of the static text at patients.

Read-Right Provides free access to a considerable quantity of texts — from stories about Sherloke Holmes to Harry Potter’s adventures and the latest news. The group of developers invites all patients to take part in resource tests. In case of their success the site will be opened in other languages.
